The conference is organized by B. Braun in partnership with Aesculap Academy and has attracted 127 participants from 14 countries.
The general message of this conference can be summarized as follows:
- Use colloids to stabilize patients within the first 12 hours of treatment. After this initial hemodynamical stabilization a further treatment can be done with crystalloids.
- Prove that patients are really hypotonic before you give colloids and do not over-infuse.
